The Opportunity

Aon provides market leading fire system and sprinkler inspection services and technical leadership.

Due to our continued expansion and growth, we are seeking experienced sprinkler and fire alarm system inspectors / technicians.

Ideally, we are looking for people who have experience in the industry, in either sprinkler or fire alarm systems or experience at the inspectorate level, along with an understanding of the relevant New Zealand standards, both current and previous.

A couple of key responsoibilities are

Inspections of new sprinkler, alarm and hydrant installations against the provisions of the building consent.

Inspection of existing sprinkler systems against requirements of the building’s Compliance Schedule.

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality fire systems inspections and exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues. You'll be organised, safety-focused, and committed to maintaining industry standards while identifying opportunities to improve outcomes for clients

A few key areas we are looking for:

Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, inspections, and compliance requirements

You’ll be a motivated self-starter who once up and running is able to work with a level of autonomy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.

Ability to identify issues, solve problems proactively, and provide practical recommendations.

* Technical expertise in fire protection systems, with the ability to inspect, assess compliance, and provide clear recommendations for corrective action.
