About the Role
Located in the heart of Rotorua, Arawa Park Hotel Rotorua is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Duty Manager to oversee our restaurant, bar, breakfast, and event operations.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the Food & Beverage team, maintain high service standards, and ensure a seamless guest experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional to join a growing hotel and contribute to its ongoing transformation.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the daily operations of the restaurant, bar, breakfast service, and events.
Deliver outstanding guest experiences and uphold brand standards.
Coach, lead, and roster the Food & Beverage team.
Monitor labour costs, stock levels, and department performance.
Manage guest feedback and resolve service issues effectively.
Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and liquor licensing requirements.
Support the hotel through refurbishment and the transition to a premium Marriott-branded property.
Work closely with other departments to achieve business goals and drive revenue growth.
Skills and Requirements:
3+ years’ experience in a Food & Beverage leadership role.
Proven leadership of restaurant, bar, or hotel F&B operations.
Strong people leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of labour management, food safety, and liquor licensing requirements.
Valid LCQ and Duty Manager Certificate preferred.
Experience in a branded hotel environment is advantageous.
Ability to lead teams through change and operational transitions.
Flexible to work rostered shifts across all 7 days a week, including morning, evening, weekends and public holidays
New Zealand Citizenship, permanent residency or a current valid work visa is essential!
