Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by preparing shipments and verifying incoming deliveries
Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure forklift safety and reliability
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage according to safety standards
Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean work areas and proper storage practices
Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and uphold safety protocols
Skills
Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting with valid certification preferred
Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs
Strong understanding of materials handling techniques for heavy lifting and safe movement of goods
Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, weights, and quantities
Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures to ensure accurate documentation and delivery flow
Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and stand for extended periods
