Bureau Veritas’ Defence and Security business is designed to offer flexibility in service delivery, enabling operations from our offices, client locations, or remote settings as required. We bring together the best industry and project management professionals in a team structure tailored to Defence and suited to delivering multiple projects across the country.

The Opportunity

We’re currently seeking a Generalist Engineer to join a small technical team supporting a Federal Government client. This hands-on, mid-level role is at SFIA level 5 in Systems Integration and Build (SINT) and is not a lead or principal position. Proactive and keen to develop their project management and PMO skills while supporting successful project delivery.

Location: Canberra, ACT

Fixed-term contract with extension options

Subject to contract award.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrate existing software components and applications into automated installation packages for scheduled updates.

Build, administer, and support production systems at Level 3, prioritising tasks using service support tools.

Design and document system builds, and review and advise on interfacing systems within defined timeframes.

Provide weekly progress reports to the client using online reporting tools.

Collaborate with the Solutions Architect and Security Specialist on each production release.

About You

Australian citizen holding an active NV1 security clearance (mandatory)

Operate at SFIA level 5 in Systems Integration and Build (SINT), or have equivalent hands-on experience.

Experience with software packaging, deployment automation, and scripting across server and endpoint environments.

Level 3 technical support experience on production systems, using ITSM tools.

Ability to produce clear technical documentation for system builds and designs.

Desirable: experience in secure Government ICT environments
