Global Trade Compliance Analyst
Job Description
The Global Trade Compliance Analyst supports MathWorks’ Export Compliance Program by executing day‑to‑day export compliance activities and ensuring global export transactions align with U.S. and international trade regulations. This role partners with Legal, Engineering, and Operations to apply established compliance requirements, support audits and reporting, and maintain consistent, well‑documented compliance processes.
### Responsibilities
Perform export order screening for customers, partners, and transactions in accordance with established requirements
Support review and approval of export transactions using documented policies and escalation paths
Assist with product classification work, including ECCN determinations and jurisdiction analysis, in partnership with Development teams
Maintain classification records, compliance documentation, and audit trails
Support execution and tracking of export compliance training
Help maintain export compliance resources and communicate regulatory or policy updates as directed
Create and support reporting on screening activity, service levels, and compliance metrics
Stay current on regulatory changes and support updates to procedures and documentation
### Minimum Qualifications
Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.
A bachelor's degree is required.
### Additional Qualifications
Experience in trade or export compliance, customs, or regulated operations
Familiarity with U.S. export regulations
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
* CES or similar certification a plus
