SEPTEMBER 2027 INTAKE
Location: Warrington or Abingdon (Full-Time/Hybrid)
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Orano Limited, some of the specialist tasks you could be involved producing are:
3D modelling
Develop concept design ideas into viable solutions through to detail design
2D detail design drawings – to BS8888
Collaborative working with other disciplines/Clients
Mechanical Handling/Flow diagrams
Production of engineering specifications and documentation
Site visits (project dependent international travel)
Mechanical engineering calculations
Working closely with Mechanical Engineers
Working with/to engineering (British and international) design standards and codes
IMechE support and mentoring

Requirements

Qualifications

MEng (Hons) / MSc in a Mechanical/Nuclear Engineering field.

Transferable Skills

Communication: Confident to speak in client meetings, and actively listening to others.

Problem-Solving & Critical Analysis: Using a logical and analytical approach to troubleshoot issues.

Teamwork & Collaboration: Working well with others, building good relationships, and sharing responsibilities.

Organisation & Time Management: Prioritising tasks, meeting strict deadlines, and managing your own workload.

Enthusiasm & Adaptability: Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and adjust quickly to changes in the workplace.

Additional

The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK, and be willing to undergo a security vetting process. Offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted.

Travel to other Orano offices and client sites may be necessary. You should be willing to work flexibly to accommodate project and client requirements.
