**About the role**
The consents team is responsible for processing resource management applications in compliance with associated legislation including the RMA.
**Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):**
* provide best practice advice on the processing of resource and building consents applications
* learn to process resource consent applications, variations, alterations/requirements for designations, creation/cancellation of easements and various certificates in accordance with the RMA and the district plan
* liaise and negotiate with applicants and submitters
* assist senior team members to authorise draft resource consent decisions
* assist with queries in regards to PIMS, LIMS and process requests for service (RFS)
**To be successful in this role you will:**
* have an appropriate tertiary qualification in planning, resource management or environmental management (ideally this will be an NZPI accredited planning degree)
* possess strong drive to succeed and are motivated by continuous improvement
* possess high attention to detail, organisation and communication skills
* be passionate about developing a career in planning
