What you will do
Our Toronto office is seeking undergraduate students to join the team as a Co-op student in Fall 2026 as a part of our Risk Services practice.
Our Cyber Security Team

As a Co-op Student, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the project manager with day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth project execution and coordination.
- Oversee and maintain the project planning tool (an Excel-based tool), ensuring all project timelines and deliverables are accurately tracked.
- Send out daily status reports to stakeholders, summarizing project progress and any issues that may arise.
- Assist with and execute technical cyber-related tasks with our operational teams.
- Assist in developing executive-level weekly reports and metrics, providing insights into project performance and status.
- Engage in various ad-hoc project management-related tasks, such as managing the RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) log and tracking team vacations.
- Establish effective working relationships directly with clients.
- Understand and help solve our clients’ cybersecurity problems.
- Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen.
- Continue to develop internal relationships and your KPMG brand.

You demonstrate
- Proficient in using Excel for data analysis, reporting, and project tracking. Experience with advanced Excel functions is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage project documentation and reporting.
- Understanding and knowledge of managing aspects of cyber risk, including assessment, analysis and reporting of cyber risk in a business context.
- Understanding and applying risk management principles to effectively manage cyber risk.
- Implementing business resilience strategies to minimize the impact of a cyber incident.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience.
