About the role

Kess Hair and Beauty is seeking an experienced and talented Hairdresser to join our thriving salons in Auckland. As a full-time Hairdresser, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services to our loyal client base, ensuring they leave our salon feeling confident and beautiful.

Job Description

Consulting with clients to understand their hair care needs and styling preferences

Providing hair services, including haircuts, coloring, conditioning, bleaching, and styling

Advising clients on suitable hairstyles and haircuts based on their face shape, hair type, and lifestyle

Staying updated with the latest hair trends and styling methods

Applying hair care products, like serum, conditioner, and treatments

Properly utilizing hair tools like irons, dryers, and curlers

Performing scalp treatments and deep conditioning services

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, in compliance with health and safety standards

Managing bookings, billing, and product inventory

Participating in educational opportunities to upgrade their skills and knowledge

Maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring a positive salon experience for all clients

Contributing to the overall success and growth of the salon through active participation in team meetings and initiatives

Adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation protocols to provide a safe and hygienic working environment

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Hairdresser

2. Excellent haircutting, colouring, and hairdressing skills

3. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build rapport with clients

4. A creative flair and passion for the latest hair trends and techniques

5. Excellent time management and organisational skills

6. A positive, team-oriented attitude and the willingness to contribute to the overall success of the salon

7. Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, late nights and public holidays as per the Salon timings on Monday to Sunday

8. Great presentation and Personal Hygiene, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

9. Maintain a Clean work Environment, and follow Health and Safety procedures
