As a Handyman & Village Support Officer - Retirement Living, you'll be at the heart of maintaining a safe, clean, and well-presented village that residents are proud to call home. This hands-on role is driven by a commitment to resident wellbeing and service excellence, combining cleaning responsibilities with a variety of maintenance, gardening, and community support activities. Working closely with the village team, you'll help ensure the environment remains welcoming, functional, and enjoyable while making a meaningful difference in the daily lives of our residents.

You Will

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the village and common areas
• Support general onsite maintenance and gardening activities
• Assist with the set-up and pack-down of activity rooms and village functions
• Support waste management processes and ensure work areas remain safe and organised
• Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE) safely and effectively
• Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards, and incidents in a timely manner
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a safe, welcoming, and resident-focused environment

What We're Looking For

• Experience in cleaning, maintenance support, gardening, or similar hands-on roles
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to assist across a variety of tasks
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Current Driver's Licence and willingness to drive as part of the role
