• The Kentish Hotel Waiuku is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and take our food offering to the next level.
• THE ROLE
• Lead and manage the kitchen team
• Plan, develop and maintain menus
• Ensure consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
• Manage food costs, portion control and wastage
• Order stock and maintain effective stock rotation
• Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
• Train, motivate and supervise kitchen staff
• Manage busy service periods efficiently
• Cater for functions, events and large bookings
• Work closely with management to develop new specials and seasonal menus
• Must have working rights to work in NZ
• ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who

Has proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef of more than 3 years experience

Is confident leading a kitchen team

Has excellent organisational and time-management skills

Can work calmly under pressure

Has a passion for quality food and presentation

Understands food costing, stock control and kitchen budgets

Has strong knowledge of food safety requirements

* Is reliable, professional and a great team player

Position: Full-time

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
