Western District Health Service is seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Workers to join our team at Penshurst Campus.
This rewarding 12-month fixed-term opportunity provides the chance to support older people within our aged care environment, helping residents maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life through person-centred care and meaningful interactions.
Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, respectful and high-quality care while building genuine connections with residents, families and colleagues.
What You'll Be Doing
Person-Centred Care
Provide safe and respectful care that promotes dignity, choice and independence for residents.
Personal Care Support
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, mobility and mealtime support.
Resident Wellbeing
Support residents' emotional, social and physical wellbeing through positive engagement and meaningful interactions.
Observation & Reporting
Monitor residents and promptly report any changes in condition, behaviour or wellbeing to the nursing team.
Teamwork & Communication
Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and other team members to deliver high-quality care and positive resident outcomes.
Quality & Safety
Maintain accurate documentation and work within organisational policies, procedures and infection prevention requirements.
What You Bring
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent qualification (desirable)
A genuine passion for supporting older people
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
A caring, compassionate and respectful approach
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Commitment to person-centred care
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
