We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team and drive excellence in freight transportation. Responsibilities
Safely operate HGV Class 1 trucks to transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security.
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Maintain accurate documentation for each delivery, including delivery notes, logs, and compliance records.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate schedules, confirm deliveries, and resolve any issues promptly.
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading cargo safely and efficiently.
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor vehicle issues to minimize downtime during shifts.
Experience
Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV Class 1 license (C+E entitlement).
Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in transportation logistics.
Familiarity with automotive repair basics to address minor vehicle issues confidently.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service rules, and compliance requirements.
Prior experience in heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
