HGV Workshop Technician (Stakeford)Job Information

We are looking for a permanent, full time, time served, HGV Workshop Technician to join our team at our Stakeford Depot, Choppington, NE62 5TR.

You will work to achieve the efficient and effective maintenance of the Council's vehicles and plant by preparing all vehicles to M.O.T and LGV testing station standards

You must be fully conversant with the maintenance / diagnostics and repair of LGV "O" LICENCE vehicles (7.5t upto 44t).

You are to diagnose faults by road testing vehicles, visual inspections, by use of computerised diagnostic software and any other method agreed by industrial standards.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

You must hold a Level 3 or equivalent in subjects relevant to vehicle and plant maintenance and have an understanding of DVSA standards and maintenance requirements with respect to operator licensing.
