Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring our guest rooms and public areas are consistently clean, well-presented and maintained to the highest standards. You will supervise and support the housekeeping team, coordinate daily workloads and ensure the department operates efficiently. This is a permanent full-time position with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and support Room Attendants

Allocate daily duties and room assignments to ensure an efficient workflow

Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation and brand standards are met

Train, coach and provide feedback to team members to maintain high standards

Onboarding and training of new staff

Monitor attendance, timekeeping and staffing levels to ensure appropriate coverage

Communicate closely with Front Office and other departments regarding room status, guest requests and operational requirements

Monitor linen, cleaning supplies and equipment and report shortages or maintenance requirements

Ensure health and safety procedures and safe working practices are followed

Respond to and assist with resolving guest concerns relating to housekeeping in a professional and timely manner

About you

At least 1 year's housekeeping experience in a hotel environment, preferably with supervisory experience

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to lead, motivate and support a diverse team

Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements

Professional presentation and a strong focus on guest satisfaction
