Hydraulics Technician

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulics Technician to join our dynamic team in Richmond, Tasman. This permanent, full-time role is essential for installing, testing & commissioning of hydraulic & pneumatic systems on new truck builds The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our hydraulic equipment, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and components in automotive applications.

Assembly installation & commissioning of hydraulic equipment.

Load, pressure & cycle time testing

Fault diagnostics, calibrating, programming , schematics

Light engineering, servicing, repairs & maintenance

Refurbs and major recertifications.

H&S and certificates (i.e. forklift and gantry crane where required)

Complete reports, check sheets and documentation as required including schematics.

Maintenance of key production metrics as required.

Maintaining records of work performed on equipment, including time and materials used on projects.

Qualifications:

Trade qualification in mechanical engineering, diesel or fluid power preferred.

Proven experience as a hydraulics technician within the automotive industry.

Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Technical aptitude and understanding of trucks and machinery

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills and a commitment to safety.

Class 2 licence preferred, to move units around the yard and road-test
