Job Description
Earn $35-$50 per hour + Regular Time and a Half Opportunities Over 40 Hours
Niagara Sawmilling is a leading New Zealand timber processor and manufacturer based in Kennington, Invercargill.
As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and improving electrical systems across our sawmilling and remanufacturing operations. Working within a highly industrial environment, your responsibilities will include:
* Fault-finding, maintenance, and repair of industrial plant and equipment
* Planned and reactive maintenance
* PLC, drive, motor, and automation systems
* Plant upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects
* Reading electrical drawings and schematics
* Maintaining safe work practices and compliance standards
* Supporting production alongside mechanical and engineering teams

About You
You are a reliable and safety-focused Industrial Electrician with experience in a manufacturing environment.
You will have:
* Current NZ Electrical Registration and Practising Licence (or eligibility to obtain)
* Industrial electrical maintenance experience in New Zealand or Australia
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Experience with PLCs, VSDs, motors, and control systems
* The ability to work independently and within a team
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
