Associate, Madrid Office

As an associate in the Madrid office, you will support the marketing and execution of M&A, debt, equity, and other financial advisory services.

RBC's expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

• Assisting in execution of mandated deals
• Assisting in preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
• Gathering public information through numerous sources
• Creating financial model analyses
• Generating discounted cash flow models and other models for valuation metrics
• Building company forecast models
• Drafting marketing documents such as Confidential Information Memorandums for financings and/or sell-side assignments
• Producing and maintaining various databases
• General research

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• University degree or equivalent
• Investment banking experience or equivalent
• Demonstrable investment banking transaction experience and a comprehensive understanding of the valuation approaches typically used
• Hardworking, enthusiastic, and professional work ethic
• Sound judgment with strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and develop relationships with clients at all levels
• Teamwork approach with colleagues
• Strong analytical skills (financial modeling) with high attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced computer software skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
