Job Description

We are seeking an IT Asset Administrator to join our IT Operations team in an entry-level, hands-on role. This position is ideal for someone starting their career and looking to develop skills in IT Asset Mnaagement (ITAM).

You will support the day-to-day administration of IT assets, including hardware, software, and procurement records, ensuring accurate data, strong controls, and smooth operational processes.

Full training and support will be provided.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of IT hardware and software assets across their lifecycle.

update asset records in the IT asset management system / CMDB

Assist with device onboarding, transfers, and offboarding activities.

Support software and license tracking under guidance from senior team members.

Raise and track IT purchase requests, purchase orders, and deliveries.

Assist with stocktake, audits, and reporting activities.

* Respond to asset-related queries from IT, Finance, and business users.

Knowledge, Skills Experience

Essential

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Good communication skills (written and verbal).

Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and systems.

A proactive, willing-to-learn attitude.

* Ability to follow processes and meet deadlines.

Desirable (but not required)

Exposure to IT environments, service desks, or administration roles.

Basic understanding of IT hardware (laptops, monitors, peripherals).

Experience with Excel or similar tools.

Interest in IT operations, asset management, or procurement.
