We're looking for a Kahukura Team Leader (Specialist Mentor) to lead financial mentors and support whanau to build financial wellbeing and resilience.

Mō te tūranga | About the role
As our Kahukura Team Leader (Specialist Mentor), you'll lead a dedicated team of financial mentors while supporting whānau facing complex challenges to build resilience, financial wellbeing, and brighter futures.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines team leadership, specialist financial mentoring, and community partnership. You'll empower your team to deliver high-quality, mana-enhancing support, work directly with whānau, and strengthen relationships across the West Auckland community.
What you'll be responsible for
Lead, coach and support a team of Kahukura Financial Mentors.
Provide specialist guidance on complex client and whānau situations.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing and values-driven team culture.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, funders and key stakeholders.
Support service planning, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure service delivery aligns with organisational policies, sector standards and funding requirements.
Maintain a small caseload, providing direct support to whānau with multiple and complex needs

You are a compassionate and people-focused leader who is committed to seeing whānau thrive. You'll bring:
Proven experience leading, coaching or mentoring staff.
Strong understanding of financial mentoring, social services, community development or a related field.
Ability to work effectively with whānau experiencing complex challenges.
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working within a kaupapa Māori framework.
A collaborative, strengths-based and mana-enhancing approach.
