Knitwear Production Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Knitwear Production Supervisor to lead our knitwear production team, ensuring exceptional quality, efficient workflow and on-time delivery of our garments.

Based at our Burnside hub alongside Head Office, our workrooms and the award-winning Untouched World Kitchen, this role offers close connection to the people, craftsmanship and ideas behind the brand.

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on the factory floor. As Knitwear Production Supervisor, you'll lead a skilled team working with premium natural fibres, setting KPIs and targets and coaching everyone to reach them. You'll spot and clear bottlenecks, keep work flowing smoothly through production, and bring a lean manufacturing mindset to making real, lasting improvements. Key responsibilities

Lead, motivate and develop the Knitwear Production team across all stages of garment assembly, ensuring daily production targets are met.

Set clear KPIs and targets for each team member, then coach, support and hold them accountable to make sure they are reached.

Apply lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and waste reduction.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks quickly, keeping garments moving through the factory without interruption.

Monitor production schedules, prioritise work effectively, and solve operational problems before they affect output.

Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship, ensuring customer expectations are consistently met.

Ensure compliance with production procedures, quality requirements, and health and safety standards, while fostering a positive, accountable team culture.

About you

A driven, results-focused leader who takes ownership and leads by example.

Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Lean manufacturing experience, ideally with a track record of driving improvements on the factory floor.

Experience working to KPIs and targets, and a coaching style that brings out the best in people.

A practical problem-solver who stays calm and solutions-focused under pressure.

Sound understanding of knitwear manufacturing, garment construction, and production processes.

Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills, and the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
