As the Lead Airworthiness & Certification Engineer for the Triton Program, you'll lead the engineering team responsible for maintaining the airworthiness, certification integrity, systems safety and Design Safety Baseline of Australia's MQ-4C Triton capability.

About the Opportunity

You will lead a team delivering Design Holder Services across the Triton Program.

Working closely with Defence stakeholders, Senior Engineers, OEM partners and the Chief Engineer, you'll ensure the Design Safety Baseline remains robust as modifications, repairs and capability enhancements are introduced into service.

You'll lead a highly skilled engineering team responsible for certification, system safety, assurance, verification and validation, integrity activities, and test and evaluation. The team plays a critical role in supporting Australia's sovereign Defence capability and the ongoing success of the Triton fleet.

Key Responsibilities

Lead certification and airworthiness activities across the Triton Program

Oversee design change and repair approval processes

Manage engineering risk, safety and compliance activities

Guide system safety, assurance and verification activities

Lead and develop a team of engineering specialists

Partner with Defence, OEM and international stakeholders

Develop certification and design assurance frameworks

Drive continuous improvement across certification processes

About You

You'll bring

Engineering or Technical Equivalent Degree Level Qualifications.

The ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance at NV2.

Exposure to certification, airworthiness or design approval activities.

Demonstrated knowledge of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) and Defence airworthiness frameworks.

Proven leadership experience within Defence aviation, aerospace or highly regulated safety-critical engineering environments.
