Our well-loved portfolio of retail and commercial brands include Paseo, CottonSofts, KiwiSoft, Tuffy, CUTE & CO., EarthSmart and Livi, and our product range includes toilet roll, facial tissue, paper towel, nappies, and wipes. We currently have over 200 employees and three sites throughout New Zealand - two in Auckland (Highbrook and Wiri) and one in Christchurch.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting permanent full-time Machine Operators at our Wiri and Highbrook sites. As a Machine Operator you are a valued contributor who will help us reach our operational goals. You are in a hands-on role where your primary focus is being able to safely and efficiently assist in the running the production area; converting raw materials into quality finished goods that our customers trust and love. You will:

Ensure safe work practices are adhered to at all times

Operate manufacturing equipment

Set up and changeover manufacturing equipment

Complete quality checks

Cleaning of equipment and housekeeping

About You

Strong focus and awareness of workplace health and safety

Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment or have an engineering qualification

Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues

Ability to work a rotating shift roster, working both days and nights

Literacy and numerical skills

Motivated with a hunger to learn new skills

Reliability

* Have the ability to work autonomously, whilst being a great teammate and working towards achieving team goals

Roster Structure

You will be working a four-on, four-off, rotating shift pattern. This means that you will work both days and nights. Your rotating shift pattern will be:

4 x day shifts: 6.45am to 7pm

4 x rostered days off

4 x night shifts: 6.45pm to 7am

4 x rostered days off

$30.22 per hour starting rate - with ability to earn more as you gain more skills and experience and work your way up the grading system
