Marketing Event Specialist

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute MathWorks events (physical and online) across India, including webinars, seminars, tradeshows, and conferences.
• Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics such as venue and catering.
• Manage the entire event cycle, from pre-event planning to delivery and post-event evaluation.
• Research and negotiate contracts with venues, digital platforms, suppliers, and contractors.
• Utilize strong project management skills within a centralized event support model to ensure successful and streamlined event planning and execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external resources.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, execution, and respond to industry trends.
• Support in developing and implementing scalable event programs and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Expertise with event management
• A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

• Strong project and time management skills, detail-oriented, process-focused and deadline-driven
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team and adjust communication style accordingly
• Budgeting, negotiation, and vendor management skills
• Hands-on execution combined with strategic thinking attitude
• Proactive and creative problem solver
• Proven experience managing multi-track events and cross-team coordination.
• Experience in working in a central event service/support model is desired
• Experience in the tech industry would be a plus
