Job Description

About Us

We are a proudly NZ owned award-winning KiwiSaver and Wealth manager. Since inception, our goals have been to educate and empower our customers to help them make good financial decisions and to provide them with strong long-term performance. To date, we have achieved both of those goals and we are relentlessly focused on these goals for the future. Ultimately, we exist to grow Kiwi’s wealth and help them achieve materially better financial outcomes in retirement.

We are a business that cares about making this difference and our people play a key role in bringing our mission to life. We encourage our people to bring their ideas to the table and empower them to lead initiatives that will positively impact our business, community, and members.

About The Role

As Marketing & Events Coordinator, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing Generate’s brand to life through engaging marketing campaigns, events and creative content. You’ll coordinate event branding, signage, promotional materials and activations, helping ensure a consistent and impactful brand presence. You’ll also get involved in social media and video content creation, developing ideas, filming and editing engaging content, and coordinating marketing collateral for our KiwiSaver advisers.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience and Marketing, you’ll work closely with internal teams and external agencies to deliver creative, on-brand marketing that supports business growth and a great customer experience. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, contribute fresh ideas and make things happen, rather than simply managing briefs and content calendars.

You can expect your day to day to look something like this:

Events & Activations : Coordinate branding, signage and promotional materials to support Generate's events and marketing activations.

Creative Ideas & Trends : Stay ahead of social media trends and financial news, proactively identifying opportunities for fresh, relevant content.

Agency Collaboration : Work closely with our social media agency to plan, develop and publish content that drives engagement and brand awareness.

Marketing Collateral : Coordinate the creation and updating of marketing materials, particularly resources supporting our KiwiSaver advisers.

Social Media & Content Creation : Create engaging, on-brand content across social media channels, including filming and editing short-form videos and YouTube content.

Broader Marketing Support: Get involved in a variety of marketing projects, bringing creativity, initiative and a hands-on approach to delivering great results

About You

We're looking for a creative, proactive marketer who enjoys variety, from supporting marketing campaigns and coordinating event branding and promotional materials to creating engaging social media and video content.

You'll bring fresh ideas, spot trends and opportunities, and enjoy getting hands-on with filming, editing and bringing marketing initiatives to life. Organised, independent and collaborative, you'll take ownership, juggle competing priorities and have a genuine interest in personal finance.

In addition to the above you will also have

  • 2 - 4 years of hands-on marketing experience
  • Experience coordinating marketing collateral across social, email, web, digital and/or events, ideally including sales or adviser materials.
  • Practical experience creating engaging content across social channels, including filming and editing short-form video; confident producing content personally, not just briefing agencies.
  • Good understanding of social media platforms, content trends and what drives engagement, with the ability to spot and develop timely ideas.
  • Strong copywriting, grammar, design judgement and attention to detail across audiences and channels.
  • Experience working with creative, media or digital agencies and cross-functional teams.

Desired

Experience with marketing automation software, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud, is advantageous.

Experience supporting paid social, lead generation, events or marketing activations is advantageous.
