Location: British Airways Engineering Wales (BAEW), Cardiff Airport

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will support the delivery of mechanical maintenance services at a busy aviation engineering facility, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational excellence.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a range of mechanical systems and site equipment.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and maintain HVAC, pumping, compressed air, water, and fire protection systems.
• Support the maintenance of mechanical handling equipment, industrial doors, and associated infrastructure.
• Accurately complete maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation using CAFM systems.
• Contribute to project works, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure all activities are completed in line with health, safety, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

• Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
• Proven experience within a Maintenance, Facilities Management, or Building Services environment.
• Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
• Full UK Driving Licence and strong IT literacy skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
