**Responsibilities**
- Greet patients warmly, perform patient intake assessments, and accurately document medical histories.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to assist clinicians in diagnosis.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and ensure cleanliness and readiness for procedures.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries, including X-ray positioning when applicable.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient encounters, ICD coding, and updating medical histories.
- Support medication administration under supervision and assist with basic life support (BLS) protocols during emergencies.
- Conduct patient education on treatment plans, medication usage, and follow-up care instructions to promote health literacy.
**Qualifications**
- Prior experience in outpatient clinics or hospital environments is highly desirable; experience in dermatology, urgent care, or emergency medicine is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and pharmacology principles.
- Demonstrated ability to perform clinical tasks such as specimen collection, phlebotomy, EHR documentation, and vital signs measurement accurately.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications in X-ray operation or OR experience are advantageous.
- Familiarity with hospital settings including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers enhances your candidacy.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence and teamwork in fast-paced environments like Geriatrics or PICU units.
- Ability to adapt quickly to diverse clinical scenarios across outpatient clinics or inpatient units such as Medical-Surgical or Internal Medicine wards.
