Part-Time Medical Receptionist

• Fairy Springs Medical Centre, Rotorua
• We are looking for a friendly, reliable and organised receptionist to join our team at Fairy Springs Medical Centre.
• This is a permanent part-time position, working two days per week:
• Monday: 8.00am – 5.00pm
• Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm
• There may occasionally be slight changes to the start and finish times depending on staffing requirements.
• We would also love to find someone who has the flexibility to pick up additional shifts on other days to help cover annual leave and sick leave when needed.
• About the role
• You will be part of a busy medical practice, helping ensure our patients receive a welcoming and professional service.

Your responsibilities will include

• Greeting patients and managing appointments
• Answering phone calls and responding to enquiries
• Processing payments and completing general administration tasks
• Supporting our doctors, nurses and wider reception team
• Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
• About you

We are looking for someone who

• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Is friendly, approachable and professional
• Can multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
• Is organised, reliable and has good attention to detail
• Is confident using computers and learning new systems
• Works well as part of a team
• Is flexible and willing to help cover additional shifts when available
• Previous medical reception experience would be an advantage, but we also welcome applications from people with strong customer service or administration experience who are willing to learn.
