Operations Support – Parts Sorter - Entry Level

Autobend is a high-tech manufacturer specializing in product design, profile cutting, sheet and plate bending, tube bending and light fabrication services. Dealing with all types of steel, aluminium, and other engineering materials we service a wide range of industries including the agriculture, aquaculture, aeronautical, construction, hospitality, food processing, automotive and other industrial sectors across New Zealand.

We are looking to employ a capable person or provide full training to a suitable applicant who will strive to meet our company’s customer focused vision. This position is based at our busy production facility, 15 Vulcan Place, Middleton, Christchurch.

Reporting to our Vulcan Place Cutting Manager, the person required needs to be physically fit as lifting is involved, be able to fit into our existing team environment, can work autonomously, have a passion to ensure we achieve our high-quality standards, have good organizational skills, meet our health and safety requirements, and have the ability and motivation to meet deadlines and dispatch schedules.

Duties to include processing and sorting laser cut product, picking and packing customers’ orders, assisting with the operation of our profile cutting equipment and general production stock control tasks.

Good manual skills required with excellent attention to detail. A forklift safety certificate would a definite advantage but not a necessity as full training will be provided. Future opportunities may include CNC press brake, laser and water jet operating.
