9-Month Parental Leave Contract

The Opportunity

We're looking for a People & Culture Advisor to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave. Reporting to the General Manager People & Culture, you'll be a trusted partner to leaders and employees, providing guidance and support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance, engagement, and culture. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, solving people challenges, and making a meaningful impact on the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with leaders and employees to provide practical advice on recruitment, performance, development, and employee relations matters
• Lead end-to-end recruitment and on-boarding, ensuring a positive experience for candidates and new starters.
• Support people processes across the employee lifecycle, including employment changes, leave management, and performance initiatives.
• Act as a trusted first point of contact for HR queries, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employment matters.
• Contribute to culture, engagement, well-being, and learning initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
• Maintain accurate people data and support payroll, compliance, and reporting activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve People & Culture processes, systems, and ways of working.
• What We're Looking For

• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, Human Resources or a related discipline
• 2-3 years' experience in a similar HR role
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and sound judgement
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach and full New Zealand working rights
