Job Description

Do you enjoy being the person who keeps things moving, solves problems, and delivers great, people-centred service behind the scenes?

Te Haeata/The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for a customer-focused administration superstar to join our People Experience Advice and Recruitment team as a Coordinator on a fixed-term basis through to August 2027.

This is a varied and fast-paced role where you'll support the delivery of people services across the Ministry, helping ensure our recruitment, employee experience, and people processes run smoothly from start to finish.

Working alongside Recruitment Advisors and PX Advisors, you'll be one of the first points of contact for managers and employees, monitoring shared inboxes, triaging enquiries, and ensuring requests are responded to or directed to the right person in a timely manner. You'll provide high-quality coordination, administration, systems support, and customer service across recruitment, employee lifecycle activities, and a wide range of People Experience initiatives.

Ō Pūkenga/Skills and Experience

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being the person who keeps things organised, on track, and running smoothly. You'll be highly customer-focused, confident managing competing priorities, and able to build positive working relationships with a wide range of people.

To be successful in this role, you'll have

Experience in an administration, coordination, recruitment, HR, payroll, or people operations environment.

Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Experience providing responsive customer service, including managing enquiries, coordinating requests, and working with shared inboxes or workflow systems.

Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications and business systems, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and technology.

Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.

Most importantly, you'll bring a proactive approach, a willingness to help, and a genuine commitment to delivering great service and improving the experience of those you support.
