Pharmacy Technician

Irish Locums Recruitment Agency Limited, part of Irish Locums Healthcare Group (ILHG), is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support the safe, efficient and professional delivery of pharmacy services.

The successful candidate will work as part of the pharmacy team and support the pharmacist with the day-to-day operation of the dispensary.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and processing of prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient, prescription and medication records.
• Support stock control, ordering, receiving and storage of medicines and pharmacy products.
• Assist with general dispensary administration and documentation.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Work closely with pharmacists and other pharmacy team members to support efficient pharmacy operations.
• Use pharmacy dispensing software accurately and confidently.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, organisation and attention to detail.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience working in a community or retail pharmacy environment.
• Pharmacy Technician qualification or relevant pharmacy experience.
• Experience using pharmacy dispensing systems such as McLernons, MPS, TouchStore/RX365 or similar is desirable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational and administrative skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good IT skills and ability to learn pharmacy systems quickly.
• Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work.
