Job Description

As a member of our Cromwell Pool team, you’ll play an important role in keeping our customers safe while providing a friendly and welcoming experience. You’ll be part of a busy aquatics team that delivers lifeguarding, customer service, Learn to Swim and community-focused programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

Actively lifeguard and supervise pool users.

Provide friendly and professional customer service.

Respond to emergencies and follow all health and safety procedures.

Complete water testing and maintain high standards of pool cleanliness.

Assist with reception, admissions and general pool enquiries.

Support Learn to Swim and other aquatics programmes.

Complete opening, closing and general operational duties.

Work collaboratively with the wider Aquatics team to ensure the facility operates safely and effectively.

Report to the Aquatics Operations Manager and work closely with the Cromwell Pool Supervisors and wider pool team.

This is a rostered role, and applicants must be available to work a range of morning and evening shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

About you:

Have a positive, friendly and reliable attitude.

Enjoy working with people and being part of a team.

Have good communication and customer service skills.

Are confident working around water and with the public.

Can remain calm and focused in busy situations.

Have a practical, hands-on approach.

Are willing to learn and complete the required training.

Previous lifeguarding or aquatics experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
