Poultry Grading Lead

Job Description Summary

This Lead role plays a critical part in overall success of the farm operations within the vaccination crew. This crew has primary responsibilities for the animal care and welfare of the birds.Job Description:

Supervisory Experience

• Must be able to manage a team
• Work with day old chicks
• Will be required to collect birds for moving, weighing, and vaccinations
• Must be able to work with live animals and the associated environment

Collect blood samples, band/tag or remove tags from birds

• Must follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio-Security polies and procedures
• Ability to work with chemicals such as detergents, disinfects, etc.
• Must perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner as trained
• Must be able to be around farm related smells or odors and loud/noisy environment
• May work up to 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays
• Must have a valid driver license to drive crew in company vehicles

Job Qualifications

• Ability to understand oral and written instructions and perform simple task
• Ability to perform work that is repetitive in nature
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to grip, grasp, or twist using hands and wrist
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbs

Bend and stoop throughout the shift

Animal husbandry experience preferred but not required.
