Procurement & Inventory Team Leader

At Autex, we're looking for a Procurement & Inventory Team Lead to help keep our business moving.

This isn't just a purchasing role. It's an opportunity to take ownership of how materials flow through the business, improve processes, build strong supplier partnerships, and help ensure our production teams have what they need to succeed.

You'll work closely with teams across manufacturing, warehousing, finance, planning and operations, balancing supplier performance, inventory levels, customer demand and business priorities. If you enjoy solving problems, improving systems and making things run better, this could be the role for you.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day procurement and inventory function while helping shape how the team operates into the future.

Your responsibilities will include

• Leading procurement and inventory activities across the business
• Managing purchasing requirements and supply planning
• Driving inventory performance and stock optimisation
• Supporting forecasting and demand planning activities
• Building strong supplier relationships and supporting supplier performance
• Managing freight and logistics activities
• Producing and analysing inventory and purchasing data
• Investigating inventory issues and identifying practical solutions
• Driving continuous improvement projects and process enhancements
• Coaching and supporting the Procurement Administrator
• Working alongside key stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for the business
• Who we're looking for
• You might already be leading a team, or you may be an experienced supply chain or procurement professional ready to take the next step.
