What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like: Innovating, Leading, and Delivering Results

Leading Delmaine's New Product Development programme from concept through to successful commercial launch.

Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to transform ideas into innovative, commercially viable products.

Managing multiple development projects, ensuring priorities, timelines, and resources are aligned.

Supporting factory trials, process optimisation, and product validation activities.

Identifying opportunities to improve existing products, reduce costs, enhance quality, and improve manufacturing efficiency.

Evaluating ingredients, packaging solutions, and suppliers to support innovation and business objectives.

Ensuring product specifications, formulations, and technical documentation remain accurate and compliant.

Providing technical leadership and guidance across the business, helping solve product and manufacturing challenges.

Coaching and developing Product Technologists while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Staying connected to industry trends, emerging technologies, customer needs, and regulatory developments.

What We’re Looking For:

We're seeking a commercially minded food technology professional who enjoys solving problems, leading innovation, and delivering results. You'll ideally bring:

A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Product Development, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Significant experience within food manufacturing, product development, or technical leadership roles.

Proven success leading New Product Development projects from concept through commercialisation.

Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, scale-up activities, food safety, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.

The ability to balance innovation, operational feasibility, quality, customer expectations, and cost considerations.

Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Experience leading, coaching, and developing technical teams.

A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Experience with specification management systems, supplier technical assessments, value engineering, or process improvement initiatives would be advantageous, but most importantly, we're looking for someone who brings expertise, curiosity, leadership, and the drive to make a meaningful impact.
