Production Assistant
Job Description
I'm looking for a reliable, hands on person to join a growing West Auckland manufacturing business to help out on a rework project.
You'll be working with physical products, using your practical skills to assemble, disassemble and rework components, helping the team get the job done to a high standard.
The assignment will start next week and runs through to 23rd of December, with the potential to move into a permanent role in the New Year.
So, what's in it for you?I've placed plenty of people with this business over the years and the feedback has been consistently great. It's a genuinely nice environment where people are well looked after, respected and supported. Several of my candidates have gone on to secure permanent positions, so there could be an opportunity to do the same here.
Consistent full-time hours, working Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm (no weekends!)
Work secured through to Christmas with the opportunity for the right person to stay on in the New Year.
A friendly, inclusive team where people are treated well and your contribution is valued.
Free parking on site, with a bus stop directly across the road.
What we are looking for:
This role would suit someone with previous manufacturing or production experience who enjoys working with their hands, isn't afraid of heavy lifting and can read plans or technical drawings. You may be a recent engineering graduate keen to get your foot in the door and gain some valuable, practical industry experience.
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, engineering, or a similar hands on environment.
Experience with rework, assembling and disassembling products, or using hand tools (ideal but not a deal breaker)
The ability to read and follow plans, drawings or assembly instructions.
The ability to handle a bit of heavy lifting and spend the day on your feet.
A reliable approach to work, good attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
Availability to start next week and commit through to 23 December.
Your own work boots or steel-cap safety shoes.
The right to work in New Zealand (overseas applications can not be considered for this assignment)
Experience working with physical products such as steel, plastics, metal components or manufactured equipment would be ideal.
I am particularly keen to hear from people with a manufacturing background, but if you've recently completed an engineering qualification and enjoy practical, hands on work, I'd love to hear from you too.
Ready to get started? If you're practical, reliable and looking for a good team to work with through to Christmas, apply now with your up to date CV.
I'd love to hear from you and chat about the opportunity!
