QA Automation

Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Java.Build and execute UI automation suites using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright (cross-browser coverage).Develop automated tests for:Web UI (functional, regression, smoke, cross-browser)API testing (REST services; functional & contract testing)Integration and E2E workflowsImprove test reliability via:smarter waits/synchronizationstable locators strategyreducing flaky testsparallel execution and test optimizationIntegrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).Analyze failures, troubleshoot root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams on fixes.Maintain test reports and dashboards (e.g., Allure/Extent, CI reports) to track quality metrics.Contribute to test strategy, test data management, and quality best practices.Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and quality gating. Requirements:Strong programming experience in Java (Core Java, OOP, Collections, exceptions, design principles).Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (TestNG/JUnit, Page Object Model, robust locator strategies).Hands-on experience with Playwright (preferably Playwright Java; strong understanding of browser contexts, tracing, and network mocking as needed).Experience with test framework development (custom utilities, reusable components, reporting, retry, parallelism).Solid understanding of automation best practices (clean code, maintainability, modular design).Experience with Git and modern branching strategies.Experience with CI/CD and automated test execution pipelines.Understanding of SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum practices. Preferred, but not required:API automation using RestAssured / Postman / Karate.Working knowledge of Docker, containerized test execution.Experience with BDD (Cucumber) and writing executable specs.Performance testing exposure (JMeter/Gatling) is a plus.Exposure to cloud test execution tools (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs) or Selenium Grid.Familiarity with test observability (logs, traces, screenshots, artifacts, flaky test analytics)
