Qualified Electrician

North Cork Electrical Ltd is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Qualified Electrician to join our team.

This is a varied role covering domestic electrical installations, commercial works, Solar PV, battery storage and EV charging throughout Cork and Munster.

We are looking for an electrician who is confident working in occupied homes, carrying out full domestic installations, upgrades, fault finding and testing, while also being willing to work across our renewable-energy projects.

The Role

Typical duties will include

Domestic electrical installations

House rewires and electrical upgrades

Consumer unit upgrades and replacements

Additional sockets, lighting and dedicated circuits

Fault finding and remedial works in domestic properties

Testing, inspection and certification

Electrical works associated with renovations and extensions

Commercial electrical installations and upgrades

Solar PV electrical installations

Battery storage systems

EV charger installations

Inverter, switchgear and protection installation

Cable containment and associated electrical infrastructure

Testing and commissioning of completed systems

Reading drawings and electrical specifications

Completing job documentation and installation records

Liaising professionally with customers while working in their homes

Previous Solar PV experience is an advantage but is not essential. Training can be provided to an experienced electrician with a strong domestic background.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have

• Fully qualified electrician status
• Strong experience in domestic electrical installations
• Good knowledge of current electrical regulations
• Strong fault-finding and testing ability
• High standard of workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good customer-facing skills
• Full clean driving licence
• Reliable and organised approach to work
• Pay: €60,000.00-€71,000.00 per year
