As the QA Practice Lead, you’ll take ownership of establishing and evolving quality assurance practices, processes, and tools to ensure our technology solutions are thoroughly tested, efficient, and reliable. You’ll lead the transformation to an automation-first approach, leveraging the latest tools and AI agents to streamline the development, execution, and reporting of quality tests. In this leadership role, you’ll guide a team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both manual and automated testing procedures, as well as conducting functional, system, integration, and performance testing to deliver robust solutions.   • Lead and manage a team of QA professionals to support business application development
  • Promote and implement an automation-first mindset across all QA processes
  • Increase use of AI in QA workflows to improve productivity and test coverage
  • Develop, implement, and optimize comprehensive testing frameworks and processes
  • Design and maintain manual and automated testing procedures for Gen AI projects
  • Conduct functional, system, integration, and performance testing for technology solutions
  • Ensure rigorous testing and validation to deliver reliable solutions
  • Analyze requirements and user feedback to enhance testability and completeness
  • Drive defect management and resolution through effective tracking and analysis
  • Contribute to project planning by integrating QA insights and risk evaluations

  • Experience in testing for complex applications
  • Expertise managing technology QA teams
  • Leveraging advanced automated testing tools and platforms to enhance efficiency and test coverage
  • Experience with Gen AI and agentic solutions in QA workflows
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Azure DevOps, and defect tracking systems
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, JMeter, Postman
  • Ability to write medium complexity SQL queries; experience with SQL and MongoDB
  • Familiarity with application security and accessibility testing
  • Ability to write code/scripts in Python and TypeScript
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and UX principles (user stories, prototyping, A/B testing)

The salary range for this position is $137,600 - $187,600. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
