Days required

Rostered and rotating shift work covering seven days per week, including weekends and public holidays.   The shifts are:

•       mornings (6.45am-3pm)

•       evenings (2.45pm – 11pm)

•       night shifts (10.45pm – 7.00am)

We are seeking a permanent RN to work night shifts –and a permanent RN to work morning and evening shifts – both have alternate weekends off.

We are also looking for an additional experienced RN to work casually.

Hours per week

30 hours per week (full time)

Hourly rate or salary band

$43-$51.50 per hour based on experience and qualifications.  Up to $53.50 per hour for night shift.

Job description

To lead and direct care for residents, ensure a safe working environment.  Work with residents and their whanau with input from the multi-disciplinary team to systematically assess, plan, monitor and evaluate care. Manager medications, provide direction and delegation to the HCAs and respond to changes in residents’ condition.

Job pre-requisites

•       Current Annual Practising Certificate from the New Zealand Nursing Council

•       A passion and desire to work with the elderly

•       Effective communication, coaching and relationship building skills

•       Three years post-graduation work experience

•       Reliable and willing to work rostered and rotating shifts

•       Currently living in NZ with right to work in NZ – citizenship or an appropriate visa

Sevenoaks Lodge is part of the Kapiti Retirement Trust, a charitable trust operating for almost 70 years.  The Lodge provides aged residential care services to 75 residents receiving either hospital, rest home, short term respite or dementia (stage 3) care.
