Registered Nurse - Maternity Leave Cover

Katikati Medical Centre is a busy semi-rural practice caring for a patient population of approx 10,000. We are passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care and creating a positive, supportive environment where both our patients and team feel valued. As a teaching practice we value the sharing of knowledge, teamwork, and collaboration.

We are looking for a friendly, patient-centred Registered Nurse who enjoys building relationships with patients, takes pride in provided excellent care and works well as part of a team.

This is a 6-12 month fixed term position covering maternity leave with the exact duration dependent on the employee’s return to work.

Hours – 32 hours per week, worked over four days, with participation in the weekend roster approximately 1:3, once established in the role.

What we are looking for:

A New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate.

A kind, respectful and approachable manner with patients and colleagues.

Sound clinical judgement and excellent communication skills.

The confidence to work independently while knowing when to ask for help.

Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and respond to the varied demands of a primary care setting.

Current authorised vaccinator status - preferred.

A flexible, team focused approach, with a willingness to adapt and support colleagues when needed.

A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required, with previous primary care experience an advantage.
