Working remotely, the full-time Reinsurance Accounting Specialist will administer reinsurance treaties, prepare and analyze accounting transactions, and ensure compliance with accounting policies while collaborating with third-party reinsurers.

##### Key responsibilities

Perform reinsurance accounting activities, including maintaining and reconciling General Ledger accounts in compliance with accounting standards

Prepare financial footnote information for SEC, GAAP, and statutory reporting, and communicate trends and discrepancies to management

Conduct quality assurance checks on journal entries and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness and accuracy

##### Required qualifications

2 - 4+ years of relevant accounting experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)

CPA certification is strongly preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
