Due to the continued growth of our business, RaD Car Hire Hamilton Airport is looking for an energetic and reliable Rental Car Agent / Vehicle Groomer to join our team.

Are you someone who enjoys dealing with people, loves working around cars and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in?

This is a varied, hands-on position combining customer service, rental administration, vehicle preparation, grooming and fleet movements. One minute you could be helping a customer into their rental vehicle, and the next you could be preparing a returned vehicle so it’s looking its best and ready for the next booking.

Previous experience is an advantage, but for us, the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include

• Meeting and assisting rental car customers
• Managing vehicle collections and returns
• Preparing rental agreements and completing rental administration
• Checking vehicles for damage on departure and return
• Washing, vacuuming and grooming rental vehicles
• Ensuring every vehicle is clean and professionally presented
• Refuelling and charging vehicles when required
• Moving, collecting and delivering vehicles
• Helping manage vehicle availability and fleet movements
• Identifying and reporting vehicle damage or maintenance requirements
• Working with the wider RaD team to keep our rental operation running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who

• Has a positive attitude and enjoys dealing with customers
• Takes pride in presenting vehicles to a high standard
• Is reliable, organised and punctual
• Has excellent attention to detail
• Is comfortable with basic computer and administration work
• Is physically capable of regularly grooming and preparing vehicles
• Can work independently while also being a great team player
• Is prepared to pitch in and help wherever required
• Holds a current full New Zealand driver licence
• Previous experience in rental cars, automotive, vehicle grooming or customer service would be an advantage, but it isn’t essential for the right person.

Hours

• Tuesday to Friday 7.30-5.30pm
• Saturdays 8-4
