Are you a highly organised  sales person who likes to be responsible for a variety of different tasks and duties throughout the day? Are you looking to grow your career in the exciting world of travel? Our Reservations Team may have the perfect opportunity for you!

We are looking for a motivated self-starter to join our Reservations Team as a full time Reservations Consultant. Based at our North Shore office, this role covers a broad range of duties from converting sales leads to bookings, making flight and land arrangements, issuing visas, confirming itinerary changes, and issuing final documents. A great base salary, with sales-based commission on top.

Wendy Wu Tours is dedicated to supporting and developing our team members through training and development.

Primary Functions

Customer Service

Delivering a high level of customer service throughout every interaction with our customers; both internal and external. Upholding WWT standards and expectations of service.

Consultation with travel agents and direct customers. This may be over the phone, via email, web chat and occasionally face-to-face.

During periods of high call volumes, it is an expectation that team members will answer calls for all phone queues; servicing the call and taking ownership for all follow up work thereafter.

Active selling

Answering queries and offering recommendations regarding our destinations, products, services, and specials.

Identifying the needs of the customer and presenting the best option to suit their preferences.

Upselling once key services have been identified.

Delivering quotes within expected turnaround time (24/48 hours)

Chasing sales opportunities after quote sent to secure the sale.

Attend expo’s and trade shows to provide reservations support.

Technical

Booking and issuing flights in our GDS (Amadeus)

Search, quote, confirm and invoice from our Reservations system (QIN)

Use Microsoft 365 for all company business (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams, One Drive)

Operations (Secondary tasks)

Complete final documentation for travellers

Process visa requests

Answer queries from customers around flights, visas, and documentation.

Provide cover for the operations teams when required.

Key skills and qualities:

Passion for sales.

Travel industry experience preferred (Amadeus GDS)

Proven ability to multi-task

Articulate communication skills

Motivated and disciplined to work to deadlines

Able to manage changing priorities

Resourcefulness

Problem solving and lateral thinking

The successful candidate will be able to display the following values:
