About the Role

Circle k Hasting, opening soon in January at Hasting is seeking a reliable, customer-focused and motivated Retail Supervisor to oversee daily retail operations, assist customers, supervise retail staff and ensure the store operates efficiently. The successful applicant will help maintain high customer service standards, manage stock, support sales activities and ensure the store is clean, organised and well presented.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to

• Providing friendly and efficient customer service at all times
• Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system and handling cash, EFTPOS, and card transactions accurately
• Assisting customers with purchases, enquiries, and product information
• Replenishing shelves, chillers, and display units to maintain full stock levels
• Monitoring product expiry dates and rotating stock using FIFO principles
• Preparing and serving simple food and beverages as required
• Maintaining cleanliness of store areas including counters, floors, shelves, and customer spaces
• Assisting with receiving, unpacking, and storing stock deliveries
• Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
• Supporting team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
• Assisting with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and cash handling tasks
• Deliver products to customers when required, ensuring goods are handled carefully and delivered to the correct address.

• Qualifications and Experience
• No formal qualification is required
• Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage but not essential
• Mandatory Requirements
• * New Zealand driver's licence (Class-1) or equivalent overseas licence Police clearance required Drug test required
• Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour
• Expected hours: 32.0 – 35.0 per week
