We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Orlando, Florida.

This position involves supporting the Small Business department by managing federal grant tracking and performing various financial tasks.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and expertise in financial reporting and Excel-based data management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track federal grants and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Reconcile invoices and ensure proper documentation for financial transactions.
• Post receipts and analyze data to support financial reporting requirements.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights.
• Generate reports and present findings to stakeholders in an organized manner.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support the department's objectives.
• Utilize data mining techniques to extract and interpret financial data effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with grant regulations and financial procedures.
• Assist in improving processes related to tracking and analyzing financial data.
• Provide analytical support for special financial projects as needed.• Proven experience in financial analysis and modeling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data management.
• Strong understanding of variance analysis and its application in financial reporting.
• Familiarity with ad hoc financial analysis and report generation.
• Knowledge of data mining techniques and their use in financial analytics.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience working with federal grants or similar financial programs is a plus.
