Position Overview

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for processing and managing client inquiries in the broadest sense, while providing direct support to our Area Sales Managers and dedicated agents.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

Quotation Management: Prepare, follow up on, and secure commercial offers to convert inquiries into projects.

Process Alignment: Execute all sales tasks in strict accordance with established company procedures and work instructions.

Stakeholder Support: Maintain close communication and strong working relationships with Area Managers and global agents.

Account Development: Initiate, build, and maintain relations with key accounts for potential future projects.

Company Representation: Represent the ATC brand internationally in a professional and reputable manner.

Project Handover: Seamlessly transfer won orders and technical specifications to the Project Engineering team.

International Travel: Travel to both continental and intercontinental destinations for client visits and business meetings.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree (HBO/HTS level) or equivalent work experience.

Background: A technical education is preferred, though proven sales experience in alternative markets is highly welcome.

Industry Experience: Experience within the oil & gas industry, process industry, or a comparable international market is a strong plus. Motivated starters are also encouraged to apply.

Language Skills: Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is strictly required. Proficiency in the Dutch language is a plus, but not mandatory.

Verantwoordelijkheden:

Het verwerken van aanvragen in de breedste zin van het woord i.c.m. ondersteuning aan de betreffende Area Sales Manager of agenten.

Taken:

• Het uitvoeren van taken volgens de daarvoor geldende procedures en werkinstructies

• Het opstellen en opvolgen van offertes met als doel het verkrijgen van opdrachten

• Onderhouden van (nauw) contact met de Area Managers of agenten

• Het starten en/of onderhouden van key accounts voor potentiële toekomstige opdrachten

• Het op representatieve wijze vertegenwoordigen van het bedrijf

• Overdracht van de order aan de project engineer

Aangezien ATC onderdeel uitmaakt van een internationale markt met voornamelijk klanten buiten Nederland, is het reizen naar zowel continentale als intercontinentale landen voor het bijwonen van meetings of klantbezoeken ook een onderdeel van het takenpakket.

Opleidingsniveau / ervaring:

• HTS/HBO of gelijkwaardig

• Technische opleiding heeft de voorkeur, echter aantoonbare Sales ervaring in een andere markt is ook welkom

• Ervaring in de olie- en gasindustrie, procesindustrie of vergelijkbare internationale markt is een pré. Echter gemotiveerde starters zijn ook welkom

• Beheersing van de Engelse taal in woord en geschrift is een eis. Beheersing van de Nederlandse taal is een pré, maar geen harde eis.

Van de eis van schoolopleidingen kan afgeweken worden bij gelijkwaardig niveau verkregen door ervaring.
