Job Description
To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time remote Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage patient communications, coordinate scheduling for diagnostic imaging, and ensure insurance authorizations are obtained prior to services.
##### Key responsibilities
Completing insurance verification and obtaining necessary authorizations for scheduled patients
Scheduling complex exams while managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls
Monitoring and managing communication channels, including email and fax, for assigned practices
##### Required qualifications
High school diploma or GED; associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing preferred
Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
Experience in an office or hospital environment preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Familiarity with HCA/Parallon IT systems is preferred
