• Aspire People are looking for an experienced Science Technician to support practical Science activities across RCT.
• This is a great opportunity for someone with a laboratory, scientific, education or technical background who enjoys working in a practical environment and supporting learners.

The Role

• Prepare equipment, materials and resources for practical Science sessions
• Support the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment
• Maintain, organise and monitor Science resources
• Assist with practical demonstrations and experiments
• Follow appropriate health and safety procedures
• Carry out stock checks and report any damaged or missing equipment
• Work closely with teaching staff to support practical activities
• Requirements
• Science Technician, laboratory or relevant technical experience
• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
• Good understanding of health and safety
• Ability to prepare and organise practical resources
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication and teamwork
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Experience working with children or young people desirable
• EWC registration or willingness to register
• Enhanced DBS for Children on the DBS Update Service
